End caps for crossbar holders: The neat finish for your balustrade

A professional stainless steel balustrade is recognised by the details – and, above all, by how it finishes. Nothing looks more unfinished than an exposed rail end jutting sharply into the room.

With FeNau’s end caps (also known as end crossbar holders), you can create the perfect finish. These holders are not drilled through, but feature what is known as a blind hole. This means that the infill bar is pushed into the holder and ends there, out of sight. The result is a closed, hygienic and injury-proof surface.

Why ‘left’ and ‘right’?

You might be wondering: ‘Isn’t an end bracket just an end bracket?’ Not quite. To ensure a flawless finish, we distinguish between left-hand and right-hand end brackets.

  • The appearance of the fixing: The handrail is usually secured using a small grub screw. To ensure this screw is not unsightly (e.g. on top of the bracket) or collects water, its position is crucial.
  • Symmetry: By providing specific alignment for the left and right sides, we ensure that the clamping screws at both ends of the railing are always positioned in the same, inconspicuous place (usually at the bottom). This ensures a harmonious overall appearance.

The advantages of FeNau blind-hole brackets

Why should you avoid using simple plugs and opt for our solid end brackets instead?

🛡️ Safety

No sharp edges on the balusters are exposed. The risk of injury (e.g. to children’s hands or clothing) is eliminated.

✨ Cleanliness

As the end is sealed (‘blind hole’), no dirt, water or pests can get into the hollow holder.

💎 Design

The solid stainless steel cap provides a high-quality finish that looks far more elegant than a simple plastic cap.

💡 Selection guide: How do I order correctly?
Picture your railing.
For the post on the far left , you’ll need the “Left-hand end bracket”.
For the post on the far right , you’ll need the ‘Right-hand end bracket’.
Note: Always order according to the number of crossbar rows you have (e.g. for 5 crossbars, you’ll need 5 left-hand and 5 right-hand brackets).
